PRIZE DRAW WINNERS SPREAD EVENLY BETWEEN NORTH AND SOUTH WALES!


The draw for the Welsh Black Cattle Society’s Grand Raffle run by the Counties of Denbighshire and Flintshire took place on the second day of The Royal Welsh Winter Fair in the main cattle ring. The companies who had donated the prizes were represented and in the most part drew the tickets for their prize. Mr Geraint Wynne, President of the Welsh Black Cattle Society stood in for the two companies who had no representative present.

The first prize drawn by Mr Alan Stroud, Sales Executive for Wales and Border Counties for Ritchey Tru-Test was for the Ritchey Multi Purpose Load bars and 3000 E.I.D. Indicator or £1000. The winning ticket belonged to a lady from St. Clears , Carmarthenshire. 

The second and third prize winners both reside in North Wales, and both in the county of Caernarfon. Both winners are also well-known Welsh Black Cattle breeders. Happily winning the Bateman Cattle Crush, was Mr. Michael W. Jones, Penisarwaen and Mr. Charles Honey, Regional Sales Manager for Wales for Agri-Lloyd, drew out the ticket belonging to Arwel Jones ,  Nantlle, who will receive a £500 Agri-Lloyd voucher.

The second winner from South Wales resides in Abergavenny and Mr Rheinallt Williams, Regional Sales Manager for Tithebarn drew out the fourth prize ticket for the £250 Tithebarn voucher. The fifth prize of thirty bags of BOCM beef nuts was drawn by Mr Alister Davies, Sales Manager for BOCM and the winner will be able to pop along to the Denbigh depot to collect his prize as he lives just a few miles away in Henllan.  The last ticket of the day was for 3 litres of Dectomax Pour-on, sponsored by Meirion Davies of Denbigh, and the lucky winner who collected his prize from the Welsh Black Cattle Society’s new promotions lounge on the showground was also from Carmarthenshire.

The Welsh Black Cattle Society wish to thank everyone who gave so generously, especially the companies who donated the prizes, but also those who sold the tickets and those who bought. The proceeds of the raffle will all go toward the continuing improvements to the Welsh Black Cattle Society’s Pavilion on the Royal Welsh Showground.
