The club’s activities began at The Penybont Inn, Llanfynydd for the club’s annual Sunday Lunch and AGM. Members get together for a chat and an enjoyable meal. The following members were elected/re-elected:-

The cow and calf competition at the Royal Welsh show was won by Carwyn Lewis of the Einon herd. We would like to thank Mrs Sabrina Johnson for her continued support in sponsoring this competition.
The popular photo competition was held at the RWAS and was judged by Radio Cymru presenter Mr Geraint Lloyd. He was very impressed by the standard of the photos entered, and the winners were interviewed by Geraint Lloyd for his evening radio programme.

Our Annual Herd Visit was to the Castell herd by the kind permission of Sociey President Mrs Jane Davies and family. An excellent afternoon was had by all and we saw fine examples of the breed as we transported around the farm with tractor and trailers . Our sincere thanks go to Mr and Mrs Davies and family for the warm welcome we received and also for organising the weather in such a challenging wet summer, and also for the banquet.
The winner of the Glyn Jones Junior Heifer Championship was Carwyn Lewis, Einon herd and Reserve champion went to Miss Alaw James, Tysul herd.
We would like to thank Mr.Glyn Jones for his continued support to the club, for which we are entirely grateful. Diolch Glyn.
The highlight of the year for the Club is the result of the herd competition, which this year was judged by Mr. Len Bigley and his son Mr Simon Bigley of The Quakers Farm, Michaelchurch, Escley, Hereford. I’d like to thank Mr. Bigley and Simon for giving up their time and judging the competition.

At the Winter Fair the winners of the highet placed, home bred Welsh Black steer and heifer exhibited by a club member went to Mr Ben Reynolds, Trefychan-ar-Daf herd for the heifer, and Miss Angharad Davies, Coedllys herd with the steer. Again we are extremely grateful to Mrs Marian Philips and Miss Lorraine Howells for providing the winner’s with a bottle of whisky each.
