Winners of the Welsh Black Cattle Society’s Bull & Female of the Year competition in 2017 are as follows:
Bull of the Year is Blackmixen Zulu Warrior from Mr &Mrs Jo & Robin Ransome, Lower Storling, Bleddfa, Knighton, Powys.
Female of the Year is Gwarcwm Eirliw 20th from Mr D Huw Jones, Llety Cynnes, Bow Street, Ceredigion.

Bull of the Year
1st Blackmixen Zulu Warrior with 70 points after 9 shows.
2nd Ynysfor Emlyn with 35 points after 5 shows, exhibited by Mr Ken Ellis a’i Feibion, Ynysfor, Tywyn.
3rd Gerddi-Bluog Rhinog 5th with 30 points after 5 shows, exhibited by Mrs Jessica Williams, Dolaugwyn, Tywyn.
Female of the Year
1st Gwarcwm Eirliw 20th with 63 points after 9 shows.
2nd Blackmixen Tabitha Twitchit with 46 points after 8 shows, exhibited by Mr &Mrs Ransome.
3rd Ynysfor Rose 10th with 33 points after 5 shows, exhibited by Mr Ken Ellis a’i Feibion.
The competition was sponsored by ‘Rumenco’ who awarded each of the winners at the summer shows with a tub of Rumenco Maxx Cattle Booster.
